Steve Jobs has resigned as Apple CEO

We all knew this day would come sooner or later. Unfortunately Steve Jobs has taken several medical leaves the past few years which would eventually culminate in this event. I’m sad that he’s no longer capable of being Apple CEO, a position he loves. I’m sure Apple is in more than capable hands with Tim Cook and the rest of the team. This time around the world has embraced Steve’s vision and even though none of us is Steve, we believe in what he believes and I’m sure Apple will continue sailing in the direction Steve’s compass leads.

Steve Jobs deserves more than a standing ovation for the brilliant work he has done since his return to Apple in the late 90s. He has inspired countless of creators to give their best work and to focus on what’s important. I know that his vision of simplicity, elegance, quality and doing things that “just work” are now engrained in me and many others.

I thank you Steve for all your teachings and inspiration.
