H-P’s TouchPad and WebOS have been killed - and Apple is the main suspect
The Ring [Apple’s new campus] will sit partly on a 98-acre parcel of land that Apple bought from Hewlett-Packard last year, after they demolish all of the buildings. HP no longer needed the space.
And to think that the Apple II was designed by Steve Wozniak at night in his office while working at HP. Little did they know that their employee’s creation (which they had a chance to own) was going to spawn the company which would deeply wound their business about 30 years later. The irony.
