HP tested webOS on an iPad. It ran over twice as fast.
When HP announced its acquisition of Palm, the computing giant had already built the TouchPad hardware that sits on the shelves today. Basically, the TouchPad was a two-year old piece of hardware that the webOS team equipped with their tablet-friendly platform.
When HP bought Palm I hoped they would really push webOS and commit to it but apparently they drastically failed to see it’s potential and cased in crappy hardware. I hope someone licenses webOS and created proper hardware for it given that webOS is very promising technology. Personally I wouldn’t see myself using an Android device but I would definitively use a webOS device.
