Resign Patterns

A brilliant set of software patterns we all know too well when dealing with legacy software.
One of my favorite:

2.5 Fromage
The Fromage Pattern is often full of holes. Fromage consists of cheesy little software tricks that make portability impossible. The older this pattern gets, the riper it smells.

One of my main goals as a developer is to try not to write code which will become legacy code. It’s not an easy task given that there is much entropy in software development. We need to keep refactoring, pruning and testing our code.
