How to play YouTube videos in 2x speed

When I listen to podcasts I always listen to them in 1.5x or 2x speed. I understand everything that is said and it greatly cuts the time of episodes which can last an hour or more. I just found out how this same trick can be used on YouTube videos directly on the site.

First one needs to opt-in to the YouTube HTML5 by going to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and joining the program (you can go back to Flash if you want). Then simply go to any video you want to watch in 2x speed and you’ll see that now the YouTube player has the word Normal on the bottom right. By clicking it you expand the list of playback speeds you can choose from.
