The Making of Prince of Persia ebook →
I collection of journals written by Jordan Mechner the creator of Prince of Persia.
Haven’t read it yet but definitively added to my to-read list.
I wasn’t a big fan of Prince of Persia (because it was too difficult for me) but reading about the creative process he went through to create this ground breaking game must be quite amazing. I loved Masters of Doom which tells the story if...

Ólafur Arnalds, my favorite musician, composer, artist will be here in Karlsruhe the 4th of November. I’ll be flying back to Mexico the 27th of October…
Oh well, I can listen to his music on my iPhone and on YouTube and someday I’ll be able to listen to his music, live.

The original said 10 but I didn’t feel like being constrained to 10.
Any other great pairing I should consider?

The Drive to Be Different →
Here we all are, seeking uniqueness, looking for those things that neatly express the idiosyncrasy of our peculiar personalities. And yet, our uniqueness (at least as consumers) is mostly a sham. Somehow, we all end up in the same place, chasing the same trends while drinking the same drink while staring at the same app on the same phone.
I think trying to be “unique” and...

Had lunch with Laura today. She is even lovelier in person.
If you don’t follow her, you should.
I’m at the Sony Center in Berlin. I’m very disappointed at Sony. Only two (crapy) tablets in display, three Sony Readers which I can’t try because they’re locked and a few sleek-looking Vaio laptops which are so horribly built that when I press a button I feel I’m going to break the damn thing (the whole plastic bends with a simple touch). What happened to you Sony?

If you use OS X, Linux, iOS or Android (and many other non-consumer OS) you’re using an operating system which was designed on top of the Unix operating system, which was co-created by Dennis Ritchie.
Even if you’re using Windows you’re using an operating system which was (at least partly) written in C, one of the most widely used and efficient programming languages out there....

Steve Jobs: “Technology Alone Is Not Enough” →
In an age of intellectual fragmentation, Jobs insisted that the best creations occurred when people from disparate fields were connected together, when our distinct ways of seeing the world were brought to bear on a singular problem. It’s what happens when a calligrapher designs a computer font and when an animator strikes up a conversation with a programmer at the bathroom sink.

Folklore.org: Round Rects Are Everywhere! →
Folklore.org has many great Steve Jobs stories. I like this one a lot.
Bill fired up his demo and it quickly filled the Lisa screen with randomly-sized ovals, faster than you thought was possible. But something was bothering Steve Jobs. “Well, circles and ovals are good, but how about drawing rectangles with rounded corners? Can we do that now, too?”
